A: Welcome to the show John.
J: Good to be here.
A: Do you feel your age?
J: You mean 18?
A: Most people feel younger than they really are.
J: I heard older adults, even those chronically ill, feel at least 20 years younger than their chronological age. Which makes you 18, right??
A: Just about.
J: Yes. Me too. I might look old, but I’m young at heart.
Young at heart 심장은 젊다. 그러니까 마음은 청춘이다라는 표현입니다.
J: I still remember when I was going thru puberty.
A: I got interested in make-up and fashion adolescence.
J: My friends are mostly interested in girls when their adolescents.
청소년을 가리키는 말로는 여러가지 단어를 쓸 수 있습니다.
Teenager, adolescent, juvenile
청소년기는 이렇게 말 할 수 있습니다.

Adolescence is the period following the onset of puberty during which a young person develops from a child into an adult.
Puberty is when your child's body begins to develop and change as they transition into adulthood. In other words, puberty refers to changes in your outward appearance, but adolescence refers to behavioral and physiological changes.
십대 teenage years 십대에 사춘기를 겪게 되는데, 사춘기는 Adolescence, puberty 모두 사용되는 단어이지만 특히 몸의 변화가 일어나는 시기를 가리킬때는 puberty 정신적으로나 사회적, 심리적 청소년기를 가리킬때는 Adolescence라고 말 합니다.
A: Were you acting out to your parents when you hit puberty?
J: I started smoking in my puberty. And I broke my voice.
사춘기에 부모님께 반항했는지 물었더니 담배피기 시작했고 변성기가 왔다는 대답을 들었습니다.
너는 그냥 반항하는거야. 영어로 이렇게 말할 수 있습니다.
You are just rebelling.
You are just acting out.
변성기가 왔다.
My voice changed.
변성기 언제 왔어요?
When did you voice change?
10대, 20대, 30대, 내가 10대때는 이런말 하고 싶으면,
In my teens, In my twenties, In my thirties.
초반 중반 후반은
Early, mid, late을 사용하면 됩니다. 나는 30대 초반, 중반, 후반 입니다. 이렇게 말하실 수 있습니다.
I’m in my early-thirties.
I’m in my mid-thirties.
I’m in my late-thirties.
중년은 뭐라고 할까요? 아줌마 아저씨

A middle-aged man
노인은 뭐라고 할까요?
Elderly people. Senior. Senior citizen.
