러시아가 공급하는 핵 연료 4차 선적분 11톤이 20일 이란에 도착했다고 이란 관영통신 IRNA가 보도했습니다.
러시아는 이란이 러시아 기술로 부쉐르 지방에 건설한 이란 최초의 원자력 발전소에 사용하기 위해 지난 해 12월부터 핵 연료를 제공하기 시작했습니다.
이 발전소는 빠르면 올해 중반부터 가동에 들어갈 예정입니다.
러시아와 미국은 총 80톤의 핵 연료를 러시아가 이란에 제공하게 된다며, 이란이 자체적으로 우라늄 농축활동을 벌일 필요가 없다고 말한 바 있습니다.
그러나 이란은 계획중에 있는 다른 핵 발전소에서 사용할 연료생산을 위해 우라늄 농축시설이 필요하다고 주장하고 있습니다.

Iran's official news agency says the country has received a fourth Russian shipment of nuclear fuel destined for the country's first atomic power plant.
Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency says the shipment of 11 tons of uranium fuel rods arrived Sunday. Russia began shipping the fuel to Iran in December for use in the Russian-built Bushehr power plant. The station is expected to begin operating as early as the middle of this year.
Russia and the United States have said the shipments, which are expected to total about 80 tons of fuel, mean Iran has no need to enrich uranium on its own. But Iran insists the enrichment facilities are needed to produce fuel for other planned nuclear reactors.
