푸틴 대통령에 대한 암살 음모설은 러시아의 인테르팍스 통신이 14일 처음 보도하면서 불거졌습니다. 이 통신은 자살폭탄테러분자들이 이란을 방문하는 푸틴 대통령을 공격하도록 훈련을 받았다고 보도했습니다. 하지만 인테르팍스 통신은 어떤 단체가 암살을 기도하고 있는지는 밝히지 않았습니다.
이와 관련해 이란의 외무부장관은 그러한 보도는 근거없는 것이며, 이란과 러시아의 관계를 손상시키기 위한 것이라고 주장했습니다.
Russian President Vladimir Putin says he will go ahead with a trip to Iran, despite Russian news reports about a possible plot to kill him during the visit.
Mr. Putin spoke today (Monday) at a news conference in Germany. When asked if he would go forward with his visit, he said "of course I am going to Iran." He said if he paid attention to every threat, he would never leave home.
Questions about the Putin trip to Tehran arose Sunday, when Russian news agencies reported a possible assassination plot against the Russian leader.
Iran's Foreign Ministry called the reports "baseless" and said they were aimed at undermining good relations between Russia and Iran.
