So basically if someone wins somebody very easily, we can say that he or she won ‘hands down’. 누군가가 상대를 아주 쉽게 이길 때 이 표현을 쓸 수 있습니다. ‘Hands down’ is derived from horse racing. ‘Hands down’은 원래 경마에서 온 말인데요. ‘Hands’는 ‘손’, down’은 ‘아래로’라는 뜻이니까 손을 아래로 내리다라는 의미가 되죠.
