조지아주 아틀란타에 사는 Dan은 면접 시험을 보기위해 DC에 왔다고 하는데요, 시험을 앞두고 조금 긴장이 되긴 하지만, 그래도 DC 구경도 하면서 즐거운 시간을 보내고 있다고 합니다.

I met Dan who is in town from Atlanta for a job interview and he’s a bit anxious about how things will turn out. But other than that, everything seems to be going well and he is enjoying his trip to DC.

그럼 먼저 제가 Dan 과 나눈 대화 내용을 들어보시겠습니다.

Dan, 은 면접 시험을 보기 위해 DC를 방문했다고 하는데요, 제가 I hope you like the weather so far. 날씨가 맘에 들면 좋겠네요. 라고 했습니다.

그러면서 so far, so good? 라고 했는데요, 오늘의 영어 표현 So far, so good! 입니다.
So far, 지금까지는 so good! 좋죠! 즉, 아직까지는 날씨가 괜찮죠? 라는 뜻입니다.
So far, so good. 은 앞으로는 어떻게 될 지 모르지만, 지금까지는 괜찮다, 순조롭다는 뜻이죠!

The phrase so far, so good is used to say that things have been pretty successful until now and that all is going well so far.
