Has anyone talked you into doing something? 혹시 누근가가 당신에게 무엇을 하자고 한적이 있나요? Well, I met with Gary who talked his three other friends into doing something they all thought they would never do before. 저는미국 백악관 앞에서 개리씨와 개리 친구분들을 만난는데요, 개리씨가 친구들에게 무엇인가를 하자고 했답니다…그럼 개리(Gary) 와 함께 대화한 것을 먼저 들려드릴게요?

Gary: I rode the mega bus from Atlanta to Knoxville and so I talked these guys into riding the mega bus and I don’t think we will probably ride it that far again. But it would be a nice ride from Knoxville to Nashville or Knoxville to Chattanooga. But it’s pretty long at night for 8 hours.
Jen: But not this far, not again. But good try.

개리는 친구들에게 녹스빌에서 워싱톤 디씨로 한번 버스를 타고 놀러가자고 했습니다. 예전에 개리가 4시간 정도 버스 여행을 했는데, 그때 괜찮았던 기억이 있어서였죠? 그런데 친구들과 버스를 타고 워싱톤 디씨까지 와보니까, 생각보다 거리가 멀어서 앞으로는 먼 거리는 버스로 여행을 안하겠다고 하더라고요. I don’t think we will probably ride it that far again.

Talk someone into doing (~)은 ‘누구누구에게 ~ 하게 하다’라는 뜻입니다.
To talk someone into something is to persuade them to do something.
Gary (개리)는 ‘I talked these guys into riding the mega bus’라고 했습니다. Talk someone into doing (~).
