Syrian President Bashar al-Assad says he believes the peace process with Israel will remained stalled for the foreseeable future.
Addressing his Parliament in Damascus (Saturday), Mr. Assad said Syria is willing to resume peace talks without preconditions, but that Israel has refused.
Talks broke down five years ago over the Golan Heights, territory that Israel seized during the 1967 Middle East war.
