How about America?

In addition, Parents’ Day is observed on the fourth Sunday in July.
B: I see.
A: Any special events on Parents’ Day?
B: I usually give them a red carnation to wear and give them presents in the morning.
And then we get together for dinner in the evening.
A: I normally send a card with gifts or flowers since I live far away from my parents’.
But it’s not the same as gathering for dinner.
B: Hmm, that’s a downside of living apart in a big country.

A: When is Mother’s Day in Korea?

B: Well, we used to have Mother’s Day many years ago.

Now we have Parents’ Day, and it’s celebrated on May 8th.

How about America?

A: We have separate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

In addition, Parents’ Day is observed on the fourth Sunday in July.

예를 들면, Memorial Day, 즉 현충일이 the last Monday of May, 즉 5월의 마지막 월요일인 경우이지요.

B: I see.
* I see.

A: Any special events on that day?

B: I usually give them a red carnation to wear and give them presents in the morning.

And then we get together for dinner in the evening.

A: I normally send a card with gifts or flowers since I live far away from my parents’.

But it’s not the same as gathering for dinner.

B: Hmm, that’s a downside of living apart in a big country.

이제 대화 내용 중에서 “I see.
A: Do you know how to get to the Seoul Station by subway?
B: I know.

* * * * *

A: Taxi takes credit cards in Korea. Did you know that?
B: No, I didn’t. But now I know.

* * * * *
A: This pot is very hot. Please do not touch it without hot pads.
B: I see.
