태국 수도 방콕에서는, 축출된 탁신 치나왓 전 총리 지지자 수 만 명이 새 정부에 대해 새로운 선거 실시를 요구하기 위한 시위를 벌였습니다.
대부분 붉은 색의 옷을 입은 탁신 전 총리의 추종자들은 28일 3천 여명의 경찰관들이 이들을 지켜보며 평화로운 시위를 촉구하는 전단을 나눠주는 가운데 탁신을 사랑한다는 구호를 외치고 발모양의 딱딱이를 흔들면서 시위를 벌였습니다.
시위 주최측은 밤새 시위를 벌일 것이라고 말했지만 오는 29일이나 30일에 있을 아비싯 웨차치와 신임 총리의 첫 정책 연설을 저지할 계획은 없다고 밝혔습니다.

Tens of thousands of supporters of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra are rallying in central Bangkok to demand that the new government hold fresh elections.
Thaksin's followers, dressed mostly in red, shouted slogans of "We Love Thaksin" and waved plastic foot-shaped clappers today (Sunday), as more than three thousand police officers stood guard and handed out leaflets urging peaceful protests.
Organizers of the demonstration say they will move the protests to parliament overnight, but have no plans of blocking the newly-elected Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva from delivering his first policy statement on Monday or Tuesday.
Police say they will not use any violence against the protesters, but have already moved to block a main road around parliament.
Mr. Abhisit has vowed to unite the country after months of political turmoil and rescue its weakened economy with an eight-point-six billion dollar stimulus package.
