아프가니스탄 북부에서 20일 자살폭탄 공격이 발생해 두 명의 NATO군 병사와 5명의 어린이가 사망했다고 아프간과 NATO 당국이 밝혔습니다.
당국자들은 이날 폭탄 공격은 쿤두즈 주에 있는 독일군 호송대를 겨냥한 것이라고 말했습니다.
같은 날 이에 앞서 아프간의 수도 카불에서는 남아프리카 출신의 영국 국적 여성 한 명이 오토바이에 탄 괴한의 총격을 받아 숨졌다고 아프간 경찰이 밝혔습니다. 이 여성은 기독교 구호단체 소속이었던 것으로 알려졌습니다.
테러조직인 탈레반은 이번 사건이 자신들의 소행이라고 주장하면서 이 여성이 이슬람이 주요 종교인 국가내에서 기독교를 전파하고 다녀 살해했다고 밝혔습니다.

five children in northern Afghanistan.
Officials say the bomber attacked a convoy of German troops in Kunduz province
today (Monday).
Earlier today (Monday)in the Afghan capital, police say gunmen killed a
British woman of South African origin. The victim worked for a Christian aid
agency (SERVE Afghanistan).
The Taliban says it killed the woman for spreading Christianity in the mainly
Muslim nation.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the killing. In a
statement, he said he deplores acts of deliberate violence against people
trying to ease the suffering of Afghan citizens.
Mr. Ban urged all parties to respect the neutral and impartial status of
humanitarian workers.
Separately, Afghan police say unidentified gunmen kidnapped a former
presidential candidate (Humayun Assifi) in Kabul late Sunday.
