중국 북서부의 탄광에서 폭발 사고로 16명이 숨졌다고 중국의 관영 신화통신이 보도했습니다.
신화통신은 중국 북서부 닝샤 후이 지역의 탄광에서 어제 폭발 사고가 발생했다고 전했습니다. 사고 당시 인부들이 갱도 안의 바위를 제거하기 위해 2톤의 다이너마이트를 장치한 것으로 전해졌습니다.
폭발 현장 인근에 있던 인부들 가운데서도 대규모 폭발로 바위 잔해들이 사방으로 흩어지면서 희생자가 발생했습니다. 당국은 폭발을 담당한 회사 직원 2명을 붙잡아 심문하고 있습니다.

China's state-run media say 16 people have been killed an explosion at a
coal mine in northwestern China.
The official Xinhua news agency says the accident occurred at a mine in the
Ningxia Hui region late Thursday. The workers had planted two tons of dynamite
to blast away rock in the mine.
The victims included people working near from the blast site, as the massive
explosion scattered rocks and debris over a large area. About 46 people were
injured in the accident.
Two people employed by a local blasting company are being held for questioning.
A rescue operation is still ongoing as crews search for other victims.
China has the world's deadliest coal mines, with thousands of people dying
every year in explosions, cave-ins and floods.
