중국의 원자바오 총리는 세계적인 경제위기사태에도 불구하고 중국 경제는 건실하다고 말했습니다.
중국 관영 신화통신은 원자바오 총리가 5일 중국 서남부 광시성 자치구를 방문하는 동안 이같이 말했다고 보도했습니다.
원자바오 총리는 미국의 모기지 위기 사태로 초래된 세계적인 경제 혼란에도 불구하고 중국의 금융 기관들은 일반적으로 점차 더 탄탄해지고 있어 경제 위기를 잘 버텨낼 능력을 갖추고 있다고 말했습니다.
원자바오 총리는 중국이 세계금융시장의 혼란에서 생존하기 위해서는 지속적인 성장이 최상의 방안이라고 덧붙였습니다.
앞서 4일 미국의 조지 부시 대통령은 미국의 현 금융위기는 점차 완화될 것이지만 최근 의회에서 통과된 700억 달러 규모의 구제금융안이 발효되기까지는 시간이 걸릴 것이라고 말했습니다.

China's Premier Wen Jiabao says the
country's economy is sound, in spite of the global economic crisis.
The official Xinhua news agency says Mr. Wen made the comment today (Sunday)
while visiting Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in southwest China.
Mr. Wen said despite the economic troubles caused by the U.S. mortgage crisis,
China's financial institutions have generally increased their strength and
ability to withstand risk.
He said continued growth is the best way for China to survive the turmoil in
world markets.
On Saturday, U.S. President George Bush said the current U.S. financial crisis
will ease, but that it will take time for recently passed financial bailout
legislation to take effect.
In Paris Saturday, the leaders of France, Britain, Germany and Italy
agreed to sign a formal pact to support their individual banking sectors.
