카메론 로메로 나토 대변인은 브뤼셀에서 기자들에게21일 러시아가 군사적 경로를 통해서 이번 결정을 통보해 왔다고 말했습니다.
러시아의 세르게이 라브로프 외무장관은 그러나 러시아가 나토와의 관계를 완전히 단절할계획은 아니라고 말했습니다.

Russia has informed NATO that it is halting military cooperation with the western alliance.
A NATO spokeswoman (Carmen Romero) told reporters in Brussels today (Thursday) that Russia informed the alliance of its decision through military channels.
In Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters his country does not plan to shut any doors on relations with NATO. He said the western alliance needs Russia more than his country needs NATO, especially on transit routes to Afghanistan.
But Lavrov said everything depends on whether NATO chooses to support what he called the "bankrupt regime" of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to the detriment of partnership with Russia.
NATO foreign ministers Tuesday agreed there can be no business as usual with Moscow until its troops withdraw from Georgia.
In Washington, a White House spokesman (Gordon Johndroe) told reporters there can be no Russia-NATO cooperation until there is a solution in Georgia.
