현재 이시각 국가별 메달 집계 현황에 따르면 유도와 사격, 역도에서 총 금메달 6개를 따낸 중국이 종합 1위를 달리고 있고, 그 뒤를 유도, 수영, 양궁 등에서 금메달 3개를 따낸 한국이 추격하고 있습니다.

The Czech Republic won the men's trap shooting event (David Kostelecky), and Thailand earned gold in the women's 53-kilogram weight lifting competition (Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon).
Britain earned its first gold of the games in the women's road cycling race (Nicole Cooke).
South Korea earned the gold medal in the women's team archery event by beating host country China.
