아프가니스탄 남부지역에서 반군의 공격으로 영국군 한 명이 사망했습니다.
영국 국방부는 아프가니스탄 헬만드 주에서 순찰중이던 영국군이 22일 공격을 받았으며 한 명의 사망자외에 두 명의 부상자가 발생했다고 밝혔습니다.
영국 국방부는 또한 영국군이 지난 20일 헬만드주에서 미사일 공격을 감행해 물라 셰이크라고도 알려진 압둘 라사크 탈레반 사령관과 세 명의 무장 요원을 살해했다고 밝혔습니다.
이에 앞서 헬만드주의 물라 라힘 탈레반 사령관이 파키스탄 당국에 투항했으며, 파라 지역 서부에서는 미군이 주도하는 연합군과 아프간 군의 공격으로 25명의 탈레반 무장요원들이 사살되거나 부상한 것으로 전해졌습니다.

Britain's Defense Ministry says a
British soldier has died after being wounded in southern Afghanistan.
Officials say militants attacked a British patrol in Helmand province on
Tuesday. Two other soldiers were wounded in the incident.
Also Tuesday, the British Defense Ministry said British forces killed Taliban
commander Abdul Rasaq, also known as Mullah Sheikh, and three other militants
in a missile strike Sunday in Helmand.
The statement said that, hours earlier, the top Taliban commander for Helmand
province, Mullah Rahim, surrendered to Pakistani authorities.
In the western Farah province, officials Tuesday said U.S.-led coalition and
Afghan troops killed or wounded more than 25 militants in the Bala Buluk
district.
