팔레스타인인들은 이스라엘 군의 가자지구 봉쇄로 품귀현상을 빚고 있는 식량과 연료 등 생필품을 구하기 위해 23일 새벽부터 라파 시로 밀려들었습니다.
이집트 국경수비대와 가자를 장악하고 있는 하마스 경찰은 이들을 제지하기 위한 아무런 행동을 취하지 않았습니다.
이집트의 호스니 무바라크 대통령은 팔레스타인인들이 이집트에 들어와 식량을 사갖고 돌아가도록 허용했다고 밝혔습니다.
이스라엘 외무부 대변인은, 무기와 테러분자들의 침투를 가능하게 할 수 있기 때문에 가자지구와 이집트 국경에서 벌어지고 있는 혼란에 우려하고 있다고 말했습니다.

An Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman (Arye Mekel) said Israel is concerned about the chaos at the Gaza-Egypt border because it could permit the infiltration of arms and terrorists.
In Cairo today, Egyptian security sources say authorities detained more than 150 people planning to demonstrate in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
