이라크 주재 미국 대사관은 총기난사사건과 관련해 사업면허가 취소된 미국 민간경호업체 블랙워터 USA 경호원들의 경호를 받아 바그다드내 그린존 밖으로 제한된 육상이동을 재개하기로 결정했습니다.
이라크 주재 미 대사관 대변인은 21일, 앞으로 블랙워터 USA의 경호업무는 이라크 정부와의 협의하에 매우 필수적인 임무에 국한될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
그러나 현재 모스크바를 방문중인 호샤르 제바리 이라크 외무장관은 미국이 블랙워터 USA를 다른 경호업체로 교체해야 할 것이라고 말했습니다.
그러나 블랙워터 USA사는 지난 16일, 바그다드에서 미국 대사관 직원들이 탄 차량이 공격을 받았을 때 경호원들이 취한 행동은 합법적이며 적절한 것이었다고 말했습니다.
이라크 내무부는 지난 16일11명의 이라크 민간인이 사망한 총기난사사건과 관련해 블랙워터 USA사의 면허를 취소한 바 있습니다.

The U.S. embassy in Iraq has resumed limited road travel out of the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad -- using security escorts from a U.S. firm involved in a deadly shooting last Sunday.
An embassy spokeswoman says the decision to resume essential road travel with security personnel from Blackwater USA was made in consultation with the Iraqi government.
But during a visit to Moscow, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the U.S. should replace Blackwater with another security firm.
Iraqi authorities suspended Blackwater's license after the shooting incident in which 11 Iraqi civilians were killed.
Blackwater says its personnel acted "lawfully and appropriately" when the convoy they were escorting came under attack.
Elsewhere, in southern Iraq, police say gunmen killed two aides to the country's most respected Shi'ite cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, in separate shootings late Thursday.
