중국 남서부 쓰촨 성에서 지난 한주 동안 산사태와 집중호우와 번개로 적어도 43명이 사망하고, 수천명의 이재민이 발생했습니다.
중국 관영 신화통신은 지난 25일 쓰촨 성 가르제 현의 한 티베트 마을에서 산사태가 일어나 많은 가옥들이 파괴되고 12명이 사망했다고 보도했습니다.
또 쓰촨성 쉬미안 군에서 큰 바위가 언덕으로 굴러 고속도로를 달리던 버스를 덥치면서 9명이 사망하고 14명이 부상했습니다.
이에 앞서 지난 23일 쓰촨성 동남부 충칭의 한 산악마을에서 학교 교실에 번개가 쳐 안에 있던 어린이 7명이 사망했습니다.
신화통신은 32시간동안 충칭 일대에 내린 집중호우로 3명이 사망하고, 11만 2,000여명의 주민들이 대피했다고 말했습니다.

Landslides, torrential rainstorms and lightning strikes have killed at least 43 people in China's southwestern Sichuan province over the past week, leaving thousands homeless.
China's official Xinhua news agency says a mudslide swept through a Tibetan village in Sichuan's Garze prefecture late Friday, destroying homes and killing 12 people.
Another nine people died and 14 were injured when a rock tumbled down a hillside and slammed into a bus on a highway in Sichuan's Shimian County, knocking it off the road.
Earlier in the week (on Wednesday), seven children died when lightning struck their
classroom in a mountainous area (Kaixian County) of Chongqing.
Xinhua said 32 hours of rains (also on Wednesday) outside the capital of Chongqing killed three and forced more than 112-thousand people to evacuate their homes.
Five others were killed by lightning strikes between Sunday and Wednesday.
