경찰은 올 해 55세인 김 회장이 자신의 경호원들과 함께 술집 종업원들을 서울 인근의 산으로 끌고갔으며, 쇠파이프로 폭행한 혐의라고 밝혔습니다. 김 회장은 혐의 내용을 부인하고 있습니다.
이번 사건은 한국 국민들의 집중적인 관심을 받고 있습니다. 김 회장 가족이 소유한 한화그룹은 한국 경제에서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지합니다.

South Korean police on Wednesday sought an arrest warrant against one of the country's richest businessmen.
Prosecutors will review the warrant against the chairman of Hanwha Group, Kim Seung-yuon, before deciding whether to bring it to a court.
Kim is suspected of orchestrating an attack on bar workers who allegedly got in a fight with his 22-year old son in March.
Police suspect that the 55-year old chairman and his body guards took the bar workers to a remote mountain area outside of Seoul, where Kim allegedly beat them with a steel pipe. Kim has denied the charges.
The case has gained a lot of media attention in South Korea, where family-owned conglomerates dominate the economy.
The office of South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun has asked police to lead a thorough investigation.
