아프가니스탄 동부에서 도로변에 설치된 폭탄이 폭발해 경찰관 5명이 숨졌다고 당국이 밝혔습니다.
아프가니스탄의 가즈니주 부지사는 6일 경찰 호송대가 지나가는 도중 도로변에 설치된 폭탄이 원거리 조종에 의해 폭발했다고 밝혔습니다.
한편 아프가니스탄 서부 파라주에서는 5일 탈레반 잔당이 경찰을 매복공격해 경찰관 8명이 숨졌습니다.
경찰관 탈레반 간에 여러 시간 싸움이 계속됐으며 많게는 17명의 탈레반 사상자가 발생한 것으로 알려졌으나 4명의 사체 만이 수거됐습니다.
또한 6일 헬만드주에서 자살폭탄 테러가 발생해 경찰관 두 명이 숨졌습니다.
지난 1년 동안 아프가니스탄 경찰과 미국이 주도하는 연합군에 대한 탈레반 반군의 공격이 크게 증가했습니다.
미국이 주도하는 연합군은 지난 2001년말 텔레반을 정권에서 몰아낸 바 있습니다.

The deputy governor of Ghazni province says the remote-controlled device exploded today (Sunday) as a police convoy was passing by.
In the western province of Farah, police say Taleban militants killed eight policemen in an ambush Saturday.
The fighting lasted several hours.
Police say as many as 17 militants may have been killed or wounded, but only four bodies were recovered.
Separately Saturday, a suicide bomber killed two police officers in the southern province of Helmand.
Over the past year, Taleban insurgents have dramatically increased their attacks against Afghan authorities, and U.S.-led coalition troops.
U.S.-led forces pushed the Taleban from power in late 2001.
