인도 국방부는 30일 동부 해안의 한 해군 함정에서 핵탄두를 장착할 수 있는 탄도미사일 실험발사를 성공적으로 마쳤다고 발표했습니다.
인도가 자체 개발한 다누쉬 미사일은 이날 오리싸 연안 벵갈만의 서브하드라함에서 발사됐습니다. 다누쉬 미사일의 사정거리는 약 250킬로미터입니다.
핵탄두와 재래식 무기를 모두 운반할 수 있는 이 미사일은 인도 해군의 지대지 프리트비 미사일의 개량형입니다.
이달 초에 인도의 경쟁국인 파키스탄은 핵탄두를 장착할 수 있는 크루즈 미사일을 성공적으로 시험발사했다고 발표한 바 있습니다.

India's defense ministry says it has successfully tested a nuclear-capable ballistic missile from a ship near the east coast.
The Dhanush missile, developed by India, was fired today (Friday) from a ship (the Subhadra) in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Orissa. It has a striking range of at least 250 kilometers.
The missile, which can carry both nuclear and conventional weapons, is a naval version of India's surface-to-surface Prithvi.
Earlier this month, India's nuclear rival, neighboring Pakistan, said it successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable cruise missile.
Pakistan and India often conduct such tests to demonstrate their defensive readiness. The two rivals normally give each other notice for long-range missile launches.
