중국 공산당은 당원들이 사적인 목적으로 직위를 남용하는 것은 1당 체제 때문이라는 비판을 거부했습니다.
간이셩 중국 공산당 중앙선도부 부부장은 13일 지난 2003년 이후 부정부패 사례가 크게 줄어들었다고 말했습니다.
간이셩 부부장은 이같이 부정행위가 줄어든 것은 중국 사회주의 제도의 우월성 때문이라고 말했습니다.
중국 공산당 중앙선도부는 지난해 9만7천2백60명의 당원들을 직무유기와 뇌물수수, 부정 혐의 등으로 처벌했다고 밝혔습니다. 또한 3만5천명의 당원들이 검찰에 넘겨졌습니다.
이들 가운데 일곱명은 성장이나 장관 직을 역임한 인물입니다. 간이셩 부부장은 당칙을 어긴 당원들의 수는 전체 7천만명 가운데 0.14 퍼센트에 불과하다고 말했습니다.
간 부부장은 다른 정치제도를 갖고있는 나라에도 부정문제는 있다고 말했습니다.

China's Communist Party is rejecting criticism that its monopoly on power has allowed party officials to abuse their positions for personal gain.
Gan Yisheng, the vice secretary of the party's discipline commission, said today (Tuesday) there has been a marked decline in the number of corruption cases since 2003. He attributed the decline to what he calls the "superiority" of China's socialist system.
The commission says the party punished more than 97-thousand of its members for graft, bribery, dereliction of duty, and other offenses last year. About 35-hundred of the party members were handed over to prosecutors. Seven of them had served as governor or ministers.
Gan says party officials found to have violated party discipline accounted for only point-one-four percent of about 70-million party members.
He said countries with different political systems also had corruption problems.
