부시 대통령은 세계무역기구의 도하 라운드 진전을 위해 반드시 법안 마련이 필요하다는 입장입니다.
미국 기업과 관련해서 부시 대통령은 최고경영자에게 지나치게 많은 급여와 혜택을 부여하는 것은 투자 유치에 부정적인 요소가 될 수 있다고 말했습니다. 이어서 부시 대통령은 기업 지도자들이 임원들에 대한 보상지급에 있어서 보다 책임있는 입장을 취해야 한다고 덧붙였습니다.

President Bush says the U.S. economy is strong, but is urging Congress to make wide-ranging reforms.
Speaking in New York's financial district today (Wednesday), Mr. Bush called for the extension of trade promotion authority -- which gives the president the power to negotiate all trade deals and allows Congress to vote only yes or no on any agreement.
He says the policy is essential to conclude the stalled Doha round of the World Trade Organization talks.
Mr. Bush also promoted establishing standard tax deduction for all Americans who have health insurance.
Addressing American business concerns, the president said the large salaries and lavish perks for executives could drive away investors.
Mr. Bush urged corporate leaders to be more responsible when rewarding executive compensation packages.
