A suicide bomber rammed his car into a NATO convoy in southern Afghanistan, injuring at least 11 people.
Police officials say the bomber struck the convoy in Kandahar city, wounding at least nine civilians and two NATO soldiers. It is NATO policy not to announce the nationality of casualties until their embassies give approval.
Authorities did not say who might have been behind the blast, but most similar attacks have been claimed by the Taleban - the hardline Islamic government of Afghanistan toppled during the U.S.-led invasion in late 2001.
On Monday, NATO officials said alliance troops had killed around 80 Taleban rebels in a fierce battle Sunday in southern Helmand province's Musa Qala district.
