이란은 내년 3월에 3천개의 가스원심분리기 시설을 추가 설치함으로써 우라늄 농축활동 확대를 강행한다고 이란 외무부가 발표했습니다.
이란 외무부의 모하마드 알리 호세이니 대변인은 가스원심분리기 시설 설치는 유엔 핵사찰 요원들의 감시 하에 실행된다면서 이같이 발표했습니다.
이란은 현재 1백64개의 가스원심분리기 시설 두 개를 가동하고 있으며 핵무기를 제조하는데는 고품위의 고농축 우라늄을 필요로 하는데 현재의 시설로는 핵무기급 물질을 생산하는데 장기간을 요합니다.

Iran's Foreign Ministry says Tehran is moving ahead with a plan to expand its uranium enrichment program by installing three-thousand centrifuges by next March.
An Iranian spokesman (Mohammad Ali Hosseini) says the installation of the machines will take place under the supervision of U.N. inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Iran has ignored demands by the U.N. Security Council to suspend uranium enrichment.
Centrifuges are used to make enriched uranium for power plants. A much higher grade of the fuel is required for a nuclear bomb.
