이스라엘의 주요 우방인 터키는 유엔 평화 유지군에 궁극적으로 약 700명을 지원할 예정입니다.
한편, 레바논내 프랑스 유엔군 사령관은 만일 이스라엘 전투기가 계속해서 레바논 상공을 통과한다면 평화 유지군이 무력을 사용하게 될 수도 있다고 말했습니다.
알랭 펠레그리니 소장은 영공 통과는 한달간 계속된 이스라엘과 헤즈볼라 게릴라들간의 전투를 종결시킨 유엔 정전 결의안 1701의 위반이라고 말했습니다.

A contingent of Turkish troops has arrived in Lebanon, becoming the first Muslim country to contribute troops to the expanded U.N. peacekeeping mission along the Israel-Lebanon border.
Two Turkish ships carrying about 95 military and civilian engineers, armored personnel carriers, bulldozers and other construction equipment docked at Beirut's port today (Friday).
Turkey -- a key regional ally of Israel -- will eventually contribute about 700 troops to the U.N mission.
Meanwhile, the French commander of U.N. forces in Lebanon says peacekeepers may at some point resort to force if Israeli military jets continue their overflights of Lebanon.
Major General Alain Pellegrini said the overflights are a violation of the U.N. cease-fire resolution 1701 which ended the month-long war between Israel and Hezbollah guerillas.
