이와는 별도로 인도 병사들이 인도령 카슈미르 서부지역에서 인도로 침입한 과격분자들을 향해 발포했으나 아직 사상자수는 알려지지 않고 있습니다. 인도군은 현재 수색작업을 벌이고 있습니다.
인도는 파키스탄 정부가 과격단체들을 훈련시키고 무기를 지급해 카슈미르 분쟁지역에서 싸우도록 하고 있다며 비난하고 있으나 파키스탄 정부는 그러한 혐의를 부인하고 있습니다.

India's military says troops have shot dead eight militants who crossed into Indian-controlled Kashmir from Pakistani territory.
Indian officials say two soldiers were killed in separate gun battles with the militants.
In the first battle, Indian troops confronted a group of infiltrators in (the Gurez sector of) northern Kashmir late Saturday, triggering a fire fight that continued until this (Sunday) morning.
In the other incident, Indian soldiers fired at a group of militants today (Sunday) (in Saujian region of Poonch district) in the western part of Indian Kashmir.
Officials say Indian troops are searching for other militants that may have sneaked across the border (Line of Control).
India accuses Pakistan of training and arming militant groups fighting Indian rule in disputed Kashmir. Pakistan denies the charge.
