이스라엘의 치피 리브니 외무 장관은 이란이 앞으로 몇 달 안에 핵 농축 과정을 완전 터득할 것이라고 말했습니다.
리브니 장관은 17일 미국 CNN-TV 방송에 출연해 이란이 핵무기 제조 기술을 개발하지 못하도록 중단시키기 위한 시간은 여전히 남아있다고 말했습니다.
미국은 이란이 자체 핵 농축 활동을 중단시키기 위한 8월 31일의 유엔 시한을 무시한 후 이란에 대한 제재 조치를 추진하고 있습니다. 러시아와 중국은 이란에 대해 제재를 가하기를 꺼려왔습니다.
미국과 유럽연합은 이란이 핵무기를 개발하고 있는 것으로 믿고 있으나 이란은 그 같은 주장을 일축하고 있습니다.
미국 관계관들과 회담해 왔던 리브니 장관은 다음 주 유엔 총회에 참석할 예정입니다.

A top Israeli official says Iran will master the nuclear enrichment process within months.
Speaking on CNN (today / Sunday), Israel's foreign minister Tzipi Livni said there is still time to stop Iran from developing the technology for a nuclear weapon.
The U.S. is pushing for sanctions against Iran after Tehran defied an August 31st United Nations deadline for suspending its nuclear enrichment activities.
Russia and China have been reluctant to impose sanctions on Iran.
The U.S. and the European Union believe Iran is developing a nuclear weapon, a charge that Tehran denies.
Livni has been meeting with U.S. officials and will attend the United Nations General Assembly next week.
