이라크내 테러리스트 단체, 알-카에다의 제2인자가 검거됐다고 이라크의 무와파크 알-루바이 국가안보 보좌관이 밝혔습니다.
알-루바이 보좌관은 이라크내 알-카에다의 제2인자인 아메드 주마아 파리드 알-사이디를 이라크군이 며칠 전 수도, 바그다드 북쪽 인접도시 바쿠바 인근에서 체포했다고 말했습니다.
알-루바이 보좌관은 또 이라크군은 알-사이디를 체포한데 이어 알-카에다 대원 20여 명을 생포하거나 살해했다고 덧붙였습니다. 알-사이디는 지난 2월 이라크 사마라에서 시아파 회교 사원에 대한 폭탄공격을 주도한 혐의를 받아왔습니다.
한편, 이라크 북부 쿠르드족 지역내 정부 건물에서 이라크 국기와 쿠르드족 기 계양문제를 둘러싸고 쿠르드족 지역 마수드 바르자니 대통령과 누리 알 말리키 이라크 총리간에 공방이 벌어지고 있습니다.

Iraq's national security advisor has announced the arrest of the second-in-command of the al-Qaida in Iraq terrorist group.
Mouwaffak al-Rubaie says Iraqi forces captured Hamed Jumaa Farid al-Saeedi a few days ago near the city of Baquba.
Saeedi is accused of ordering the February bombing of a Shi'ite shrine in Samarra. The attack inflamed violence between Iraq's Shi'ites and Sunnis.
Al-Rubaie says Iraqi forces killed or captured 20 other al-Qaida members following Saeedi's arrest.
Also Sunday, Iraq's prime minister and the president of Iraqi Kurdistan traded criticism over a ban on flying the Iraqi flag in the autonomous northern region.
