Israeli forces have killed three suspected militants and wounded several other Palestinians during an incursion in Gaza City.
The military operation began late Saturday and continued into Sunday. The Israeli military says one of the suspects was carrying an anti-tank missile.
Israeli fire also wounded two journalists who were in a vehicle used by the Reuters news agency. Reuters says the vehicle was hit by a missile.
The news agency says the vehicle was clearly marked as a press vehicle. It says one of the journalists worked for Reuters, the other for a local news web site.
The Israeli army says it did not identify the vehicle as being used by the press and that it regrets the injuries. The army says it targeted the vehicle because it was moving in a suspicious manner close to Israeli troops.
