이스라엘 경찰은 성희롱을 당한 두명의 전 여직원들의 고소와 관련해 모쉐 카트자브 대통령을 조사하고 있습니다.

이들중 한직원은 카자프대통령이 사면령을 댓가로 뇌물을 수수했다고도 비난했습니다.
이스라엘 대통령이 성희롱사건에 개입된것은 이번이 처음입니다. 올해 61세의 카트자브 대통령은 이같은 범죄 사실을 부인하고 있습니다.
카트자브 대통령은 우익의 리크드당 소속이며, 이에 앞서 정부 각료직을 역임한 바 있습니다. 이스라엘 법은 대통령은 형사소추를 면할수 있는 면책권을 부여받고 있지만, 이스라엘 의회는 표결로, 대통령을 해임할수 있습니다.

Israeli police have been questioning the country's president, Moshe Katzav, in connection with accusations by two former employees that he sexually harassed them.
One of the employees also has alleged that the president took kickbacks for issuing pardons.
On Monday, police took computers and documents from the president's official residence in Jerusalem.
This is the first time an Israeli president has been involved in a sexual-harassment case. The 61-year-old Mr. Katzav denies any wrongdoing. He is a member of the right-wing Likud party and previously served as a government minister.
Under Israeli law, the president is immune from prosecution, but Israel's parliament (Knesset) could vote to remove him from office.
Israel's justice minister also is facing sexual-harassment allegations. Haim Ramon resigned his post last week and was indicted today (Wednesday). He says he will refute the accusations.
