미국에서도 공항 보안 당국자들은 이제 탑승객들이 소량의 액체 의약품을 기내로 반입할 수 있도록 허용함으로써 액체가 담긴 물품에 대해 거의 전면적으로 내렸던 금지 조치를 완화했습니다. 당국자들은 앞서 13일 모든 비행기 탑승객들은 반드시 신발을 벗어 검색대를 통과해야할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Britain and the United States have eased procedures at international airports imposed last week in the aftermath of a foiled bomb plot in London.
British authorities said today (Monday) they will now allow passengers to carry on board a single bag the size of a laptop computer. However, travelers will still be banned from carrying liquids other than medicines and baby food.
The new rules say electronic devices, including laptops, must undergo inspection by airport security staffs.
U.S. officials have relaxed the near-total ban on carry-on liquids, and now say passengers may carry small amounts of liquid medications. The Transportation Safety Administration said it will also allow glucose gel and insulin on board.
On Sunday the T.S.A. said it will continue to require all passengers to remove their shoes for screening.
