아프가니스탄 남부 헬만드 성에서 충돌이 벌어져 탈레반 저항분자 17명이 살해됐다고 아프간 당국자들이 밝혔습니다.
현지 관계관들은 가름세르 산간 지역에서 5일 오후 3명의 저항분자들이 살해됐으며 다른 한명이 부상했다고 전했습니다.
그로부터 몇 시간 뒤 같은 지역에서 정부군의 수색 작전이 전개되는 동안 14명의 저항분자들이 추가로 살해됐으며 적어도 4명이 부상했습니다.
이웃 칸다하르 성에서는 카불로 이어지는 주요 고속도로 선상의 군 차량 대열에서 자살 차량 폭탄공격으로 미군 병사 한명이 부상했습니다.
한편서부 바드기스 성 무르가브 지역에서 간밤에 일단의 무장 단체가 한 경찰 초소를 공격해 아프간 국경 경비대원 적어도 2명이 사망했습니다.

Afghan authorities say 17 Taleban insurgents have been killed in clashes in southern Helmand province.
Local officials say three insurgents were killed and another one was wounded Saturday afternoon in the mountainous Garmser district. Hours later, during a search operation in the same district, troops killed 14 more insurgents and wounded at least four others.
In neighboring Kandahar province, an American soldier was wounded when a suicide bomber exploded his bomb-laden car near a military convoy on the main highway to Kabul.
Meanwhile, a group of armed men attacked a police post overnight in the Murghab district of western Badghis province, killing at least two Afghan border police.
