태국 농무부 당국은 태국 동북부 조류독감 발생지역에서 30만 마리의 닭을 도살폐기하라고 지시했습니다.
태국 농무부는 수도, 방콕 동북쪽 나콘 파놈성의 한 농가에서 사육중이던 닭들이 인체감염 사례도 나타나고 있는N5H1 계통의 조류독감 바이러스에 감염됐다고 확인하고 이같이 지시했습니다.
나콘 파놈성은 지난 주에 H5N1 바이러스에 감염된 닭들이 발견된 라오스 국경마을과 인접해 있습니다.

Officials in Thailand have ordered the culling of 300-thousand chickens in the country's northeast, in response to a bird flu outbreak in the area.
Agriculture Department authorities say the deadly H5N1 strain of the virus had infected chickens on a farm (in Nakohn Panom province) 740 kilometers northeast of Bangkok.
The area borders Laos, where officials discovered the H5N1 virus in poultry last week.
