이종석 장관은 11일, 부산에서 열린 남.북 장관급 회담 개막일에 이같이 말했습니다. 북한 대표단장인 권호웅 내각참사는 이번 사태와 관계없이 남.북한이 화해의 길을 계속해서 나아가야 한다며 남.북간의 결속을 촉구했습니다.
남.북한 장관급 회담에서는 양측간의 경제협력과 인도적인 문제가 중점적으로 논의돼 왔으나 남한측은 이번에 북한의 미사일 시험발사에 관한 우려를 제기할 의도로 있다고 말했습니다.
한편, 일본과 미국은 유엔 안전보장 이사회가 북한에 제재조치를 취할 것을 촉구하고 있으나 한국은 북핵문제에 관한 6자회담이 재개되어야 한다고 촉구하며 보다 덜 적극적인 태도를 보이고 있습니다.

South Korea's unification minister says North Korea's recent test-firing of missiles has made the region unstable and has hurt North-South relations.
Unification Minister Lee Jong-Seok made the comments today (Tuesday) as the two Koreas opened a new round of high-level meetings in the southern port city of Busan, South Korea.
North Korea's chief delegate to the talks, Kwon Ho Ung, made a call for solidarity with the South, saying they should continue on the path to reconciliation regardless of the current situation.
The talks usually focus on economic cooperation and humanitarian issues, but Seoul says it intends to raise concerns about Pyongyang's launch of missiles last week. These meetings are scheduled to run through Friday.
While Tokyo and Washington have called for United Nations sanctions on North Korea, Seoul is taking a less aggressive approach, urging a resumption of multilateral talks on Pyongyang's nuclear program.
