선관위 당국은 3일 오후 , 98퍼센트 이상 개표가 끝난 가운데 예비 집계 결과 집권당인 국민 행동당의 보수파 펠리페 칼데론 후보가 40여만표로 앞선것으로 나타났다고 밝힌 바 있습니다. 멕시코 좌파 야당인 민주 개혁당은 집계에 부정의혹을 제기하며 모든 투표소의 재검표를 요구하고 있습니다.

Mexico's Federal Electoral Institute is set to review polling station tallies to compile official results from Sunday's hotly contested presidential election.
The institute will begin verifying the tallies from polling stations today (Wednesday) and count some three million votes that were not part of the preliminary count because of problems with the ballots.
The president-elect will be named after the process is completed, which could take several days.
Election officials said late Monday that a preliminary count of more than 98 percent of the ballots showed conservative Felipe Calderon of the ruling National Action Party leading by about 400-thousand votes.
Mexico's leftist Party of Democratic Revolution is demanding a recount of all ballots cast in the election, citing alleged irregularities in the tally. Its candidate, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, says his party is ready for a legal battle.
