중국 남부 지역에서 집중 폭우로 인한 홍수와 산사태로 적어도 67명이 숨지고 수 십 만명을 대피했습니다.
중국 관영 신화 통신은 남부 푸젠성에서 폭우로 강물이 불어나 제방이 무너지면서 11개 마을이 물에 잠겼다고 보도했습니다. 당국자들이 정확한 사망자 수를 파악하기 위해 노력하고 있는 가운데 이 지역에서는 지난 5월 말부터 폭우가 계속 쏟아져 41명이 목숨을 잃고 제방이 무너졌다고 신화 통신은 보도했습니다.
나머지 사망자들은 광둥성을 포함한 다른 지역들에서 보고됐습니다.

Flooding and landslides caused by torrential rain in southern China have killed at least 67 people and forced the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of others.
The official Xinhua news agency reports that in Fujian province, the bank of a rain-swollen river collapsed Thursday morning and flooded 11 villages. Authorities there are still trying to determine the number of deaths. Before the bank collapsed, Xinhua reported at least 41 people had been killed there since heavy rain began pounding the region in late May.
The remaining deaths have been reported in several other provinces, including Guangdong and Guizhou.
Damage has been reported in Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejian and Chongqing provinces.
Xinhua says at least 378-thousand people have been evacuated and relocated because of the severe weather.
