한국 국방부는 한국 공군의 신예 F-15 젯트 전투기 한 대가 훈련비행 도중 실종됐다고 발표했습니다. 한국 국방부 관계관들은 조종사 등 두 명의 장교들이 탑승한 이 전투기가 7일,저녁 대구 공군기지를 이륙한지 약 40분만에 추적 레이다에서 사라져 버렸다고 밝히고 동남부 해안 상공에서 훈련비행 하다가 추락했는지도 모른다고 말했습니다.
실종된 F-15 전투기는 미국 보잉사가 제작한 것으로 한국공군의 차세대 전투기로 선정돼 2008년까지 40대가 도입될 예정인 가운데 이미 도입된 넉대 중 한 대입니다.

South Korean defense officials say an F-15 fighter jet is missing and may have crashed during a training flight off the nation's southeastern coast.
Officials say the plane took off from a Daegu air force base about 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul (Wednesday) for a night flight with two officers aboard. They say it disappeared from radar about 40 minutes later. A search is underway in the waters off the coast.
The U.S.-made F-15K is considered to be one of the most advanced fighter jets. South Korea plans to purchase 40 of the aircraft by 2008. The missing plane is one of four already purchased.
