Israeli officials say Prime Minister Ehud Olmert plans to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on June 4th.
Mr. Olmert's office says the talks will take place at Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. The meeting will be the first between the two leaders since Mr. Olmert took office earlier this year.
Officials say the two will discuss Mr. Olmert's plan to consolidate Jewish settlements in the West Bank and set Israel's borders. Mr. Olmert has said Israel would be willing to hold talks on the matter with the Hamas-led Palestinian government if it renounces violence and recognizes Israel's right to exist.
Mr. Olmert also plans to meet with Jordan's King Abudullah in the coming weeks.
