수단과 하마스가 이끄는 팔레스타인 자치정부는 이슬람 성전을 수행하라는 알카에다 지도자 오사마 빈 라덴의 요구를 일축했습니다.
빈 라덴은 23일 아랍어 텔레비전 방송인 알-자지라에 방송된 테이프를 통해 서방국들이 이슬람에 대해 십자군과 시온 전쟁을 벌이고 있다고 비난했습니다. 빈 라덴은 서방국들의 수단 다르푸르 분쟁 개입과 하마스가 이끄는 팔레스타인 정부에 대한 자금지원 중단이 그같은 전쟁의 증거라고 주장했습니다.
그러나 하마스 대변인은 하마스의 이념은 빈 라덴의 이념과는 다르다고 말했습니다. 또 수단 외무부도 다르푸르는 국제사회와 무관한 내부 문제라고 말했습니다.

Sudan and the Hamas-led Palestinian government have distanced themselves from a call by al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden for Islamic holy wars on their behalf.
Officials with the two governments were reacting today (Monday) to a tape that aired Sunday on Arabic al-Jazeera television with bin Laden accusing the West of waging what he called a "crusader-Zionist war" against Muslims.
He said Western involvement in Sudan's Darfur conflict, and the West's decision to cut off funds to the Hamas-led Palestinian government is evidence of such a war.
But a Hamas spokesman has distanced the Palestinian group from the statements, declaring that the ideology of Hamas is different from bin Laden's.
Sudan's Foreign Ministry has also disavowed the al-Qaida statements, saying Darfur is an internal problem that does not involve the international community.
