네팔의 야당연대는 앞서 16일 기넨드라 국왕이 절대권력을 포기하도록 압박하기 위해 국민들에게 세금을 내지 말도록 촉구했습니다. 이들은 또 국제사회 지원국들에게 네팔정부에 대한 기부금 지원을 중단할 것을 요청했습니다.

Gas stations in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, are rationing fuel on the 12th day of a general strike called by opposition groups to demand the restoration of democracy.
Cars and motorcycles formed long lines today (Monday) at the few gas stations still selling gasoline in the area. Most shops in the capital remained closed, while commercial banks joined the strike by shutting their doors.
The price of vegetables and other produce has risen sharply due to a drop in food deliveries to the capital.
Sunday, Nepal's opposition alliance urged people to stop paying taxes to raise the pressure on King Gyanendra to give up absolute power. The seven-party alliance also called on international donors to stop sending aid to the royalist government.
