하미드 카르자이 아프가니스탄 대통령이 지역안보와 경제개발 문제 등을 논의하기 위해 인도를 방문하고 있습니다.
9일 인도에 도착한 카르자이 대통령은 10일 만모한 싱 총리와 만나며, 두 정상은 이 자리에서 아프가니스탄 재건을 위한 인도의 지원 협정에 서명할 예정입니다. 인도는 이미 아프간 재건을 위한 5억5천만여 달러의 지원을 약속한 상태입니다.
카르자이 대통령은 이밖에 각종 연회와 경제개발 관련 회의에 참석하며 인도의 정보기술 중심지인 히데라바드를 방문할 계획입니다.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai is in India for a visit expected to focus on regional security and economic development.
Mr. Karzai, who arrived in India today (Sunday), will meet with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday. The two plan to sign agreements relating to Indian assistance for the rehabilitation of war-ravaged Afghanistan. India has already pledged more than 550 million dollars for Afghanistan's reconstruction.
During his several-day visit, Mr. Karzai will also attend banquets and sessions on business development, and will travel to Hyderabad, an information technology hub.
