홍콩 법원은 작년 12월 홍콩에서 열린 세계 무역 기구 WTO 회의에 대한 반대시위도중 경찰을 공격한 혐의로 기소된 14명의 시위자들에 대해 무죄를 선고했습니다.
홍콩 법원은 30일 홍콩 검찰이 기소한 14명가운데 이날 마지막 남은 윤일권 순천 농민회 사무국장에 대해 증거 불충분으로 무죄를 선고했습니다.
윤씨 등 천여명의 시위자들은 당시 WTO 개최장으로 향하면서 경찰을 공격하는등 과격시위를 벌였습니다.

A Hong Kong court has acquitted the last of 14 anti-globalization protesters accused of attacking police during the World Trade Organization meetings in the city last year.
South Korean farmer Yun Il-kwon was among around one thousand people rounded up after they rioted and attempted to force their way into the W.T.O.'s main meeting hall.
Most of those arrested were later released, but 14 were charged with illegal assembly. Hong Kong courts eventually dismissed the charges against 13 protesters, citing lack of evidence. Yun was the last to be released.
Hong Kong is not accustomed to unruly protests. No one was killed during the demonstrations on December 17th, but it was some of the worst street violence the city has seen since the 1960s.
