Tens of thousand of protesters have rallied in Bangkok to demand that Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra resign.
The demonstrators gathered Saturday night at Government House, chanting "Thaksin, get out!" Many of them wore yellow headbands with the words, "Save the Nation."
Across town, tens of thousands of Buddhist monks and worshippers chanted prayers for national peace and unity at a candlelight vigil. They gathered at a field near the Grand Palace.
