이집트의 반체제 언론인 아크바르 간지씨가 수감된지 6년만에 풀려났습니다. 간지씨의 변호인, 유세프 모우라에이 변호사는 간지씨가 17일, 저녁 감옥으로부터 출소했다고 밝혔습니다. 그러나 이집트 법원 관계관들은 간지씨의 공식 형기가 3월 31일에 만료된다고 말했습니다.
간지씨는 지난 2000년에 이집트 정보기관 요원들에 의해 살해된 반체제 인사 다섯 명 살해사건에 관해 보도한뒤 국가안보 저해혐의 등으로 구속돼 주로 독방에 수감된 가운데 단식투쟁을 벌이기도 했습니다.

Iranian dissident journalist Akbar Ganji has been set free after spending six years in prison. Ganji's lawyer (Yousef Mowlaei) said today (Saturday) the prominent journalist was released from prison late Friday.Iranian judicial officials say the sentence of the just-released journalist does not officially end until March 30th.
Ganji was detained in 2000 after reporting on murders of five dissidents by Intelligence Ministry agents. He was convicted on charges that his articles violated the law and insulted the authorities. Ganji spent most of his prison term in solitary confinement and was on a hunger strike for several months.
