The U.S. Embassy in Indonesia is warning Americans to avoid the area around its facilities in Jakarta on Sunday because of a planned protest.
Associated Press reports the protest in the capital will be held by hardline Muslims demanding the United States pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
A protest organizer told the news service that one group expected to attend the protest is the Islamic Defender Front. Last month, the group attacked the U.S. Embassy during a protest over the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
The embassy has issued a statement on its Web site urging Americans to avoid crowds, maintain a low profile and to exercise caution if caught in the vicinity of the demonstration.
