Hundreds of people have protested in Mongolia's capital to oppose a decision by Mongolia's largest political party to pull out of the country's coalition government.
Today's (Thursday's) protest comes one day after members of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party resigned from the cabinet, charging the government has failed to tackle poverty, unemployment and corruption.
The party held 10 of Mongolia's 18 cabinet seats, and its departure would leave Prime Minister Tsakhiagiyn Elbegdorj short of a majority in parliament.
Mr. Elbegdorj, leader of the Democratic Party, formed an uneasy partnership with the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party in 2004, after a disputed election.
