아리엘 샤론 이스라엘 총리의 뇌졸중을 치료중인 담당의사들은 샤론 총리의 뇌촬영 검사를 다시 한 결과 총리의 상태가 약간 호전된 것으로 나타났다고 밝히고 샤론 총리의 마취를 풀 예정이라고 말했습니다.
샤론 총리를 치료중인 예루살렘 하다사 병원의 담당 의사 의사들은 샤론 총리의 마취를 언제 풀어도 될른지 결정하기 위해 8일, 뇌촬영 검사를 다시 한뒤에 이같이 말하고 9일까지 샤론 총리의 뇌손상 상태가 파악될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
의사들은 전날, 샤론 총리의 상태가 아주 조금 나아지기는 했지만 위기에서 벗어나지는 않았다고 밝히고 샤론 총리가 심한 뇌손상을 입은 것 같다면서 생존하더라도 총리직에 복귀하기는 어려울 것같다고 말했습니다.
한편, 총리대행인 에후드 올메르트 부총리는 8일, 각료회의에서 자신은 샤론 총리의 안보, 사회, 경제정책들에 관한 임무를 수행해 나갈 것이라고 말했습니다.

Doctors treating Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon say they plan to bring him out of a medically induced coma Monday after a scan showed slight improvement in brain swelling.
Doctors at Israel's Hadassah hospital said today (Sunday) that Mr. Sharon remains in critical condition. They say that by Monday they should have a better understanding of the damage caused by Mr. Sharon's massive stroke last Wednesday.
The doctors say Mr. Sharon most likely suffered significant brain damage, and will probably not be able to return to power even if he survives.
Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told cabinet members at their weekly meeting today (Sunday) he would carry out Mr. Sharon's work on security, social and economic issues.
