중국에서는 지난해 교통사고 및 산업재해로 12만6천명이 사망했다고 정부 당국이 밝혔습니다.
이같은 숫자는 전년도에 비해 7% 줄어든 것이라고 중국 노동안전국은 말했습니다. 사고 건수는 72만8천 건이었으며 이 것 역시 전년도에 비해 줄어든 것입니다.
한편, 중국에서 지난해에 홍수와 태풍, 지진 등 자연재해로 인한 사망자는 2천475명으로 2001년 이래 가장 많았다고 민사국 리 리궈 부주임이 말했습니다.

China says more than 126-thousand people died last year as a result of road accidents and work-related mishaps.
But, China's work safety watchdog said today (Thursday) the official death toll for 2005 was down seven-percent from the previous year.
The deaths were caused by an estimated 728-thousand accidents during the year. That figure was also down from 2004.
China's vice minister for civil affairs (Li Liguo) said two-thousand-475 people died in floods, typhoons and earthquakes -- the highest death toll since 2001.
