Israeli aircraft attacked a suspected training base for Palestinian militants in Lebanon early today (Wednesday), hours after rocket attacks on an Israeli border town.
The Israeli military says the base south of Beirut is operated by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
There has been no word on casualties or damage.
Late Tuesday, three rockets fired from Lebanon exploded in a residential area of the Israeli town of Kiryat Shemona, causing some property damage but no casualties.
In the Gaza Strip, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held talks with militant leaders Tuesday, urging them to stop rocket attacks on Israel. Islamic Jihad members at the talks accused Israel of violating a truce and indicated they would not change their tactics.
